We are at the forefront of hydrology model and real-time system development. Based on the early version of WRF-Hydro, we have created a new model framework with a self-learning function to enhance performance. The calibration is integrated into the model framework, representing an innovative design in hydrologic modeling. Numerous new features have been added to meet various user needs. Our system delivers reliable high-resolution real-time forecasts, includes features such as mountain flash flooding, river flooding, overland flooding, urban flooding, water management and its downstream impacts, storm surge inundation, and water resource estimation and prediction. 

A significant breakthrough in flood forecasting is achieved through our nowcasting system. The case studies demonstrate our nowcasting system’s ability to accurately predict flash floods with a lead time of approximately 2-3 hours. In the future, the application of AI-based nowcasting for precipitation will enhance both the lead time and accuracy compared to current weather models.
